Description | The primary responsibilities are: to perform real-time and conventional PCR, DNA cloning and sequencing, data analysis and manuscript preparation, lab management and to conduct training as needed that support the advancement and surveillance of research efforts and science programs for NAMRU-3. In addition, provides information, analysis and advice to other advanced researchers on a variety of molecular biological and genetic issues. |
Qualifications | A minimum of two years postdoctoral experience working with infectious microbes, with an emphasis on molecular mechanisms of disease and a minimum of 7 years work experience in molecular biology and/or molecular pathogenesis. |

Other Skills | i) Expert writing skills required to prepare written material in a clear and concise manner, and to document findings. ii) Mastery of a wide range of qualitative methods and techniques plus a thorough understanding of management and operation of a molecular biological laboratory and ability to implement procedures to accomplish complex analysis. |
